Privacy Policy

FlashCues transcribes audio on your Mac. Audio and transcripts are processed and stored on your Mac only. We don’t collect, store or share any personal data, and FlashCues contains no analytics or advertising.

FlashCues connects to the internet only to download its speech recognition models (from Hugging Face, once, after you agree), and to send phone alerts if you turn that feature on. Those alerts go to the ntfy server you choose, under its own privacy policy. The optional live view is served from your Mac to devices on your local network and is not sent over the internet.

If you choose Apple dictation as a channel’s engine, Apple’s speech recognition handles that audio under Apple’s privacy policy.

Purchases are processed by our payment provider, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name and email to deliver your download and provide support.
